DEAFNESS AND HEARING LOSS -- A RISK ON THE JOB?
The Journal of the American Medical Association published a study that said
workers with disabilities as a whole are 36% more likely to be injured on the
job that nondisabled workers.  Researchers from the University of Iowa College
of Medicine found: 
Blindness more than tripled the risk for injury.
Deafness more than doubled the risk for injury.
Hearing impairment increased the risk for injury by 55 percent.
Arthritis increased the risk for injury by 34 percent
