Terry, George, Glenn, and others,
Please, take note of a British interest in Telsa coils...

On the subject of helical antennas for VLF, I wonder if anyone
knows anything about Tesla coils? I saw on TV some spectacular
results using such coils to produce very high E fields, and I believe
the field is high-frequency AC, so perhaps the same constructional
technique could be used for an antenna, although if the voltages are
as high as the ones I saw, there would be a need to build a large
sphere on the top in order to reduce the corona.
