I am thankful to Sandy WB5MMB for pointing out that, in the following paper > http://thayer.dartmouth.edu/inductor/litz.html a fairly interesting and practical treatment of the use of Litz wire can be found. My own reading of the results offered in that paper confirm that there is not much point in using litz wire below 200 KHz. André N4ICK
