At George LeMaster's request, I have
been exploring the possibility of
obtaining a new repeater site in this
area. A friend has offered to introduce
me to a building superintendent this
coming week, Monday, or Tuesday, to
discuss putting the 147.21 repeater on
his building. There is already some
amateur repeater links (449-MHz) up
there. I need to prepare a proposal for
the Monday meeting and need input for
the proposal, as well as some sort of
BOD nod. Areas I thought of covering in
the proposal would be:
1.  AMRAD: Background, non-profit org
(501-3c), some history;
2. Public service aspect of repeater,
open for emergency use; some history of
AMRAD involvement in public service;
3. Willingness of AMRAD to support any
additional costs (construction, power
(monthly), if necessary;
4.  Description of equipment, floor
space occupied, power budget, final
power, remote links (input freqs), what
will be required to support site;
necessity for telephone line (or not);
control mechanism; control operator(s);
licensee; insurance or willingness to
obtain insurance if required;
5. What is in it for the sponsoring
institution?

I would like to discuss the proposal and
its formulation at Tacos today, as well
as taking input via email until Monday.
