Hi Bob

Your students might be interested in http://www.armadilloaerospace.com which
is a company based in Texas developing a rocket platform using 802.11b for
remote control and telemetry. The discussion of the software/hardware is a
wealth of wisdom and the mpegs of test flights are worth the bandwidth. The
Texas group is a non ham company for profit. They are affiliated with ERPS
http://www.erps.org/ in the SF area. ERPS is an amateur rocketry group with a
large crossover of hams. On following links from ERPS member's pages I came
across this gem http://www.sbay.org/
which is a Silicon Valley based wireless community network. Sbay is meeting
with a ham group http://www.wvara.org/ , very interesting indeed.
