POWER MANAGEMENT
----------------------------------
* Low Dropout Regulators (LDOs):
The TPS721xx and TPS722xx families of low-Vin, cap-free LDOs are available
in fixed voltage (commonly used to power the latest DSPs and microcontrollers)
and adjustable options (ranging from 1.22 V to 5.25 V). They can be used
in applications ranging from portable, battery-powered equipment to PC
peripherals, and are particularly suited as a portable power supply solution
due to their minimal board space requirement and 1.8-V minimum input voltage.
Additionally, being able to use two off-the-shelf, AAA batteries simplifies
system design. They are fully internally compensated and use the load’s
existing 0.1-mF bypass capacitor to reduce component count and cost.

AMPLIFIERS AND COMPARATORS
--------------------------------------------------
* High-Speed Amplifiers:
The THS4601 is a High-Speed, FET-input operational amplifier designed for
applications requiring wideband operation, high input impedance, and high
power supply voltages. By providing 180-MHz gain-bandwidth product, ±15-volt
supply operation, and 100-picoamp input bias current, the THS4601 is capable
of wideband transimpedance gain and large output signal swing simultaneously.
Low current and voltage noise allow amplification of extremely low-level
input signals while still maintaining a large signal-to-noise ratio.

* Special Functions for Amplifiers:
The LOG102 is a versatile integrated circuit that computes the logarithm or
log ratio of an input current relative to a reference current. The LOG102 is
tested over a wide dynamic range (6 decades) of input signals. In log ratio
applications, a signal current can be generated by a photodiode, and a
reference current from a resistor in series with a precision external voltage
reference. The LOG102 also features low supply voltages, excellent AC
stability, small package and two uncommitted op amps. Applications include
photodiode trans-impedance amps, ONET optical power measurement, and medical/
scientific instrumentation. It is available in a 14-pin SO package.
http://focus.ti.com/docs/shared/workspace/campaign.jhtml?stk=321462&cmp=1094&url=http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/log102.html
Price (1ku): $18.65

* Instrumentation Amplifiers:
The INA326 and INA327 are high-performance, low-cost, precision instrumentation
amplifiers with rail-to-rail inputs and outputs. Both are true single-supply
instrumentation amplifiers with very-low DC errors and input common-mode ranges
that extend beyond the positive and negative rails. These features make them
suitable for applications ranging from general-purpose to high-accuracy.
Excellent long-term stability and very low 1/f noise assure low offset voltage
(100uV max) and drift (1uV/°C max) throughout the life of the product. The
INA327 offers low-power shutdown capability. Applications include low-level
transducer amplifier for bridges, load cells, thermocouples, wide dynamic range
sensor measurements, high-resolution test systems, weigh scales, multi-channel
data acquisition systems and medical instrumentation.

* Signal Amplifiers:
The OPA561 is a low–cost, high–current operational amplifier capable of driving
up to 1.2A pulses into reactive loads. The OPA561 packs high power, wide
bandwidth, and high speed, without the clunky packaging commonly associated
with linear power op amps! Featuring shutdown, thermal shutdown, and adjustable
current limit, the OPA561 offers designers ease of use and a fully integrated
solution in the thermally enhanced HTSSOP-20 PowerPAD package.
http://focus.ti.com/docs/shared/workspace/campaign.jhtml?stk=321462&cmp=1094&url=http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/opa561.html
Price (1ku): $2.49

* High-Speed Amplifiers:
The OPA656 is a unity gain stable, wideband, FET input operational amplifier.
Providing similar bandwidth and slew rate as its successful predecessor, the
OPA655, it has significantly lower quiescent current and DC errors. The OPA656
(SO-8 package) is a drop-in replacement to the OPA655.  It offers a wide, 400
MHz bandwidth, and high 290 V/us slew rate. It is particularly suited for
wideband trans-impedance applications (such as photodiodes), precision voltage
buffers and custom sample and hold applications. The output of the OPA656 has
adequate drive capability to easily drive doubly terminated 50-ohm transmission
lines or low impedance passive filters. Available in SOT23-5.
http://focus.ti.com/docs/shared/workspace/campaign.jhtml?stk=321462&cmp=1094&url=http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/opa656.html
Price (1ku): $5.85 to $7.39

* High-Speed Amplifiers:
The OPA690 is a unity gain stable, voltage feedback amplifier with an optional
disable feature. The OPA690 offers the performance of the OPA680 with a lower
quiescent current and a lower price. Due to the similarities between the OPA680
and the OPA690, most present applications for the OPA680 can consider the
OPA690 as a drop in alternative. Typical applications and/or markets include
video line driver, xDSL line driver/receiver, high speed imaging channels, ADC
buffers and transimpedance amplifiers The OPA690 comes in standard SO-8 and
SOT23-5 packages.
http://focus.ti.com/docs/shared/workspace/campaign.jhtml?stk=321462&cmp=1094&url=http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/opa690.html
Price (1ku): $1.49 to $1.59
