On the balloon's descent, the last position recorded at around 19:15 this
evening, was at a height of 10,000 feet.

After having been on the ground for about 3 hours, the payload has started
transmitting, or for some other reason has begun to be digipeated again.

It appears to be "on the ground", about 2000 feet above sea level, on Mission
Mountain, 4 miles East of Murphy NC. Precise co-ordinates are:
3505.04N/08356.53W

or check out http://map.findu.com/WB8ELK-12

The maps show it to be about 200 yards from the ends of three different roads
which lead up the foothills of Mission Mountain.

Best wishes, and Holiday Greetings,

Iain KI4HLV
