Info on the soon-to-be-released HPSDR boards from TAPR. NOTE: The web
links show below are duplicated!! You need to edit the duplicate out before
the link will work.

Janus is a high-performance A/D & D/A board, designed to replace your sound
card with better than Delta-44 performance. Estimated costs are:
assembled: $163 for TAPR member, $179 non-member. Bare board: $29 for TAPR
member, $32 for non-member.

Ozy is the "interface" board, which includes the USB 2.0 interface to your
PC. Estimated costs are:
Assembled: $137 for TAPR member, $149 for non-member. Bare board is $29
for member, $32 for non-member.

In order to use these, you will also need the HPSDR Atlas Backplane, and
some kind of power supplies.
Atlas kit, less PC board costs: $25 for TAPR member, $28 for non-member.
Atlas PC board costs $10 for members, $11 for non-members.

The Atlas kits and an extender card kit are available now from TAPR. The
Janus & Ozy are supposed to be available in May.

An expensive way to get better-than sound card performance, but it may be
worth it in the long-run. HPSDR has several other SDR boards being designed
which will eventually plug into the Atlas backplane. While the A/D &
direct-down-conversion type receiver is making good progress (similar to
SDR-IQ or Phil Covington's Quicksilver), the SoftRock-like QSD/QSE board
they had planned has slowed down. The person heading that group recently
said that he need to back off from the project due to lack of time. They
are looking for a replacement.

More info on the various pieces can be found at www.hpsdr.org
Note that's ORG, not COM, which is the web site listed below instead....
