cheap SDR receiver modules might make it
possible to build an interesting multi-site passive
tracking array. use the internet to connect sites
and use NTP to synchronize clocks. bring the
data together and do the sums. it might be
interesting to see if we could track the airliners
using the plentiful broadcast FM stations.
