Loran C off the air

Loran still puts out a big signal here in U.K. Not sure where the transmitters are.

Does anybody have any ideas about the 'switching' effect in the background, above 100kHz
which I get in my waterfall display? It's mystified me for some time. Maybe it's something in my
computer. The Rx is an SDR-14 run with Spectravue, but I see the same thing running WinRad.

  Tacoistas,

From an email from the Lowfers, the Loran C is in fact, off the air
now. There are Loran C chains in Europe and the Pacific and may still
be on the air.
