The end of ubiquitous 3.58MHz crystals?

  so with the transition to digital TV,
is this the beginning of the end of
ubiquity for the cheap 3.58MHz crystal?
true, most things still swallow NTSC in
some form, but do it really need a
3.58MHz rock with all the other clock
generators already at the party?
