An acoustic diode ?

Interesting.

Suppose I have two rooms, A and B which are isolated from each other.  I 
put a microphone in room A, an amplifier, and a loudspeaker in room B.

We can yell in room B and people in room A will not hear us  while a 
person speaking in room A is heard in room B.

Isn't this an acoustic diode like the article describes except I use 
electronics instead of funny little spheres?
