LightSquared wants final FCC approval

Reston-based startup Light-Squared Inc. thought it was going to know by this
fall whether the Fed-eral Communications Commission would greenlight its
embattled 4G wireless plan. And the company is done waiting. The nagging GPS
interference crisis isn't exactly resolved, but in a statement, Jeff
Carlisle, vice presi-dent at LightSquared, drove home this point:
Essentially, LightSquared isn't to blame for its incompatibil-ity with
Global Positioning System devices, and shouldn't be held up because another
industry is squat-ting on its spectrum.
