Actually, the death of BP Solar came about because the current CEO (Bob 
Dudley) decided BP is really an old-fashioned oil company after all, 
where the previous CEO (Tony Hayward) tried to turn them into an "Energy 
Company."  Tony Hayward didn't deal very well with the Deepwater Horizon 
spill - so he got canned.  Dudley shut down quite a few of Hayward's 
projects.
