cheap 12 volt power

 Guys,
Had a client give me a pair of IBM 'server' power supply's.
They have a rating of 12 volts at 14 amps.
What I could not find was any info on how to turn them on.


In the past I converted a similar HP unit, someone published an article on what to jump to turn it on and make it run.
I took some of that and created this article.

At the last ham fair someone was selling these units and their fan mod.


Spent a little time today and managed to find the turn on point.
They truly did deliver the rated 14 amps.
The best thing is they are cheap on the web. Usually about $20 each.

These do not need a 'fan mod' since there is a small blower built inside.
Not a bad project.
