I suppose this is why there's the encrypted P(Y) signal to detect spoofing.  Too bad civilian receivers don't have access to it.

Might be interesting if a future coding format had some sort of way of signing the messages/codes so that spoofing attempts on the civilian signal could be detected.  Something like that and fusion with accelerometers and gyros (that already get used in some receivers to cover signal loss) could greatly improve robustness.
