Camera shows light moving

This reminds me of work some years ago where the Navy used a short pulse
laser to illuminate an object underwater that was murky. Then an
observing unit had an electronic shutter. When it was all set up right,
the laser would fire a short burst of light and the shutter would open
just as the reflected light from the object was arriving back at the
shutter.

The effect was to see the object in really murky water. I think by now
many others also can do this.
