Is a CdS photoresistor a good detector for green light?

In answer to Richard's original question, probably the yard or the
garden.  Maybe the basement.  Might just be at the other end of the
house.  Easy to miss the appliances saying they're done, but won't
miss the text message if we have our phones with us, which we usually
do.
