FYI.

There is an ISS school contact tomorrow morning, 07:24 VA time. You should
be able to hear the FM 145.800 *downlink *in VA.

Turn your beams West at 07:24, and slew clockwise till LOS at around
07:34am.

If not,... connect to the Echolink reflector and listen there (to both
sides of the conversation).

And it looks as though there may be video from the school on USTREAM also!
(See below)

Good luck!

Please join us in listening to the ISS contact with participants at the

Warren Consolidated Schools, Warren, Michigan, USA on Friday, March 14th.
Aqusition of Signal (AOS) is anticipated at 11:24 UTC.

The duration of the contact is approximately 9 minutes and 30 seconds. The
contact will be a DIRECT between NA1SS and W8HP at the school. The contact
is expected to be conducted in English.

The mission of the Warren Consolidated Schools (WCS) district, in
partnership with families and community, is to achieve a level of
excellence in teaching and learning which enables all students to become
knowledgeable, productive, ethical, and successful citizens. To help meet
that goal, WCS supports programs in Science, Technology, Engineering, and
Mathematics (STEM), which give students a real hands-on experience in
education.

Audio from this contact will be fed into the:

EchoLink *AMSAT* (101377)

IRLP Node 9010 Discovery Reflector

The school will stream the contact live to USTREAM at:
http://www.ustream.tv/channel/ariss-contact-warren-consolidated-schools

Audio on Echolink will commence about 20 minutes prior to the contact
taking place so that you can hear some of the preparation that occurs. IRLP
will begin just prior to the ground station call to the ISS.

Please note that on Echolink there are automatic breaks of 1.5 seconds in
the audio transmission. These occur every 2.5 minutes during the event.
Breaks on IRLP are manual and occur approximately after every third
question.

** Contact times are approximate. If the ISS executes a reboost or other
manoeuvre, the AOS (Acquisition Of Signal) time may alter by a few minutes
**

73,

John - AG9D
