Frequency Hopping and other in December Circuit Cellar

In addition to some interesting stuff about FPGAs, there is an interesting 
article about a frequency hopping radio system being developed at the 
Jerusalem College of Technology.  It uses FM modulation, the output 
frequency is 194-204MHz.  THere's some interesting thoughts about syncing 
the receiver.

There is also a pretty good article about I/Q signals.
