Richard,

That's a pretty expensive thumb drive.  I bet there are a number of other
hams out there who will copy the device.

What we need is a complete Crystal Radio in an FT-243 Crystal Holder that
can be plugged into a socket and tuned with an Arduino or Raspberry Pi.  I
suspect a good antenna would be the tricky part of this device.
