Phil,

 

I guess you could say Radio Shack put the .38 Cal to its own head and pulled
the trigger when it tried to compete with cell phone sales when the likes of
ATT, Sprint and Verizon had already taken over the market.  Just think, if
they had stayed with selling Ham Radio Equipment (which they did in the
1960's) and kept those parts drawers up to date they may have gone the way
of Allied (which they once owned) or provided good competition for HRO
(a.k.a. Ham Radio Outlet).

 

I wonder ., is Tandy rolling over in his grave now that the Shack is joining
him at 6 feet under.
