You can search for aircraft by registration number or Make/Model.  I suspect that there are not very many B17, B24, or B29s in the registry.

What frequency are the WWII planes going to use to coordinate in the air, to help hold formations?

I would think the war birds will be using their registration numbers to ID, but sometimes they mention the plane type.
Is there a cross reference anywhere on the web?
