That would be correct. I was “or notted” just yesterday. Same old number, but now it is on a fiber with no battery back up.

  I do hope your copper phone lines are in better shape than some of 
ours. The lines in my neighborhood were installed more than 45 years ago 
and have been repaired / replaced more times than I can remember. The 
entire system is slowly oxidizing away. I suppose that's one of the 
reasons Verizon installed fiber throughout the community four years ago. 
Those that haven't signed up for fiber internet, cable and phone in one 
package will eventually be transitioned to fiber whether they want it or 
not. I enjoy the advantages but also understand the shortcomings, 
something many users have yet to learn, the hard way.
