On a conference bridge today I learned that LightSquared is out of bankruptcy as of early February and has rebranded/renamed itself as Ligado Networks.

Apparently there was some sort of settlement reached with Deere, Garmin, and Trimble.

Legal situation has changed.  Unfortunately for Ligado, the physics haven't.

Time to add Ligado to your news aggregator filters and FCC docket watchers.
