Solid State Microwave oven

Living in that sorry backwater of technology (Britain), |’d never heard of such a thing as a solid-state microwave oven. Tell me more! All I know is that I took a busted six-year-old microwave apart last year and it yielded no useful parts for future projects whatsoever. I felt cheated!
