Hi guys,

A Digital Repeater on HF, digital solves two big repeater problems:

1) Is the signal valid?     sync

2) Does the signal want to be repeated?    in the data

Our ionosphere does a marvelous job of bouncing signals back to earth but

500Km away or more. and the coverage area of a station would be a doughnut

perhaps 2000Km diameter and 500Km wide but two stations 100km apart

can't communicate. What about a repeater? Or, several repeaters spaced 500Km

apart?

Well, our NSW country ambulances are now fitted with Codan HF digital radios

and they intend to use mode TWELP 1200 (c), they are doing just that.

Any thoughts?
