Funny you should mention this, since just the other day, while
trying to turn a Samsung camera I picked up at RadioShack into a
backup camera, I found its internal PAL/NTSC setting. Although
yours uses a different chipset, it looks like you also can use a
pull-up or pull-down resistor to set NTSC or PAL mode. Google
Images shows a lot of different camera boards using that chipset,
and at least one had a resistor next to an unpopulated pair of
pads with PAL / NTSC silkscreened next to it.<br>

I soldered some wires together and got it to work with a
Lilliput TV/monitor. I'm not sure if the Monitor didn't auto
detect the PAL. The picture was sharp, but B&W. This
camera will be airborne so it's life expectancy might be
shortened. It would be nice if it survived my flight
training.... <br>
