I bought a 200 milliwatt video TX module
and a matching RX module, both on 5.8GHz. They are from China and
cost $20 or so for both. It took me awhile to get around to soldering
on the dip switch for channel control and the I/O for video and
power. I soldered it all on this afternoon and am happy to report
I have set a personal DX record on that band of a little over a
foot!. I used one of those monitors they put in cars to baby sit
the kids with TV. They are real cheap used these days. The
monitor takes 12 volts and the RX is 5 volts. On the TX side the
little Chinese camera is 12 volt and the RX is 5 volt. I had
wires going every which way. I can't wait to fly this rig....
