    <font size="+1"><font face="Comic Sans MS">fldigi has a setting
        where it will send a tone to trip the VOX.  I'm considering
        using it.  I've had an ambition to use the digital modes on
        Field day.  I go C1 which is mobile and last time I tried
        digital in my truck, the RF feed back through the cable shutdown
        the 706mkIIg.  If I can get it together I might try mobile on my
        boat.  I have no idea what's going to happen with those RF
        gremlins.  It don't have to work, but I have to have fun trying
        to make it work.<br>

                    problem after all.  I needed a serial port to
                    control push to talk on the radio.  This tablet
                    ain't got no serial port, only one USB port.  I knew
                    I had a USB to serial device and actually found it
                    in the last place I looked.  This is where I ran
                    into a memory problem.  I forgot this dongle don't
                    work with win 7 or 8 (and now 10).  I'm not sure
                    whether me forgetting is classified as a hardware or
                    software problem.  I'll ask my Facebook friends and
                    report back.  You have to be luckey to get old.<br>
