I know some folks who were in the Virginia delegation to the
Democratic convention in Philly. I asked as to what
communications techniques where used on the floor. I was
surprised to hear that it was done almost exclusively with
texting. The DNC whips who handed out signs used text. The
people I know who are Sanders delegates used text to coordinate
within the Virginia delegation as well as receive texts from the
Sanders campaign. There was little lag time in the messages.<br>
<br>
People were using their own phones, so you can assume they used
different carriers. Obviously there was a cell access point at
the hall, probably a couple. I wonder if the different carriers
formed a pool or did each have a separate tower? I'd like to
get some stats on how many texts were passed at the event, but
have no idea were to look. <br>

I have heard no reports of Pokemon on the floor of the
convention....<br>
