</head><body><p>I ran into a similar issue some 19 years ago, when I last bought a Toyota. The manual warned that a transmitter</p><p>inside the car could cause it to misbehave.</p><p><br></p><p>There is a Yahoo group called "Toyotas only" that lets people ask questions about car problems, and I asked </p><p>about putting a ham rig into the car. I got a response from a guy who was both a dealer maintenance tech</p><p>and a ham, who said that for my model car the electrical cables ran down the center of the car, so just keep</p><p>the ham wiring off to one side.
