Some are dated, some are almost modern (behind the wave,
but in sight...)<br>
I want to re purpose some of them. I have read that you
can interface some Android devices and use them as a
monitor for a Raspberry Pi through the USB port.<br>
I hope to try that in the next couple of days. I also have
been looking at LVDS display interface to HDMI adapter
boards. I bought one on Ebay for $12. <br>
It will take a while to get here in the mail. <br>
The already built displays for the Pi are fairly
reasonable, but the adapter to junk method is still about
half price and I will have the satisfaction of screwing it
up on my own.<br>

With a few hiccups I got RDP on a Samsung Galaxy note II showing
the desktop on a RPi running XRDP. It's pretty cool. In the
Google play store the MS RDP didn't work so I picked the next
one in the search que and it worked. The Phone is using WIFI to
a router and the Pi 2B+ is hard wired with Ethernet. Ha, I just
figured out to use the stylus on the Note II, works better than
my finger, real nice.</font></font></div></blockquote><div><br></div><div><br></div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif" class="gmail_default">There are also X servers for Android, and with ssh tunneling with compression you may be able to run any X application using your phone or tablet as a remote display.</div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif" class="gmail_default"><br></div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif" class="gmail_default">Jacek</div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif" class="gmail_default">kw4ep</div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif" class="gmail_default"><br></div></div>-- <br><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_signature">Given a choice between two theories, take the one which is funnier </div></div>
