                      You should do a search "solid state microwave
                      oven" as there are a few hits worth reading.  <br>
                      The basic idea is multiple 250 watt solid state
                      microwave sources arranged around a cavity.  They
                      are individually frequency agile and their  power
                      levels can also be controlled individually.  There
                      are sensors which monitor the foods reaction to
                      the energy.  The sensors report to a computer and
                      the computer uses algorithms to control
                      frequencies, power and phasing, even different
                      modulation methods.  It's a loop. <br>
