online store), turned out that the only had few left in total, their contract with the distributor expired, and they would not renew it because nobody was buying such parts anymore. I used this opportunity to clear the remaining stock at discounted prices

various names Surplus Electronics, Electronics Plus, etc...) in College Park. And the ham store in Woodbridge (now HRO), and lest we NOT forget, EEB in Vienna.</div>

<p>Yes, that reminded me of Radio Row as well. When I was a teenager in the mid-1960s my father and I used to cruise through the Radio Row shops looking for WW2 surplus bargains. That was quite an experience. My dad was looking for parts (meters in particular)
for his boat, and I was interested in components for my budding ham radio station in the basement of the family house in New Jersey. The BC348N receiver used in my Novice station came from Radio Row. My Novice test (remember those days?) was administered
by Sy Denby in the back room of his Niagara Radio Supply shop. A Google search on "Sy Denby Radio Row" brings up several interesting links about Sy and the Radio Row scene. The world of electronics sure has changed since those days.<br>
