I would like to remind members that the ARRL Eastern Pennsylvania
</div>
<div>
Section Convention and Hamfest is scheduled for this Sunday, May 7,
</div>
<div>
2023. The weather looks like it may actually cooperate too. It is
</div>
<div>
located at Bucks County Community College, Lower Bucks Campus, 1304
</div>
<div>
Veterans Highway (Route 413) Bristol, PA 19007. See
</div>
<div>
<a href="https://wp.k3dn.org/hamfest/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">https://wp.k3dn.org/hamfest/</a>
<br>
</div>
<div>
<br>
</div>
<div>
The location is right off of I-95 and is truly a great location and the
</div>
<div>
college facilities are first class. While I have attended for some
</div>
<div>
years as an ARRL elected official, this is the first time I will be
</div>
<div>
attending as your Atlantic Division director.
</div>
<div>
<br>
</div>
<div>
I had the privilege of addressing interested members at the ARRL
</div>
<div>
Delaware Section Convention on April 15 in Georgetown. I learned that
</div>
<div>
members have various questions and concerns about your League and what
</div>
<div>
is planned for the future in serving the membership. Bring your
</div>
<div>
questions and comments this Sunday and I will be around to address them
</div>
<div>
either in a forum or one-on-one if time permits. I will also be at the
</div>
<div>
Dayton Convention in a couple weeks as well and would be pleased to
</div>
<div>
greet you there. I have been attending Dayton since 1972 and can say
</div>
<div>
the new location is the best ever.
</div>
<div>
<br>
</div>
<div>
As director, along with able assistance from our Atlantic Vice Director
</div>
<div>
Marty KB3MXM, I represent your interests to our League as a member of
</div>
<div>
the board of 15 directors from various divisions. Therefore, your
</div>
<div>
ideas, concerns and questions allow me to understand and act on what our
</div>
<div>
members wish to see from our League.
</div>
<div>
<br>
</div>
<div>
While members may not always agree on issues affecting Amateur
</div>
<div>
Radio or a particular policy of the League, to serve the members I
</div>
<div>
benefit from having dialog with you so that I can formulate positions on
</div>
<div>
policy. Remember, it is your League in the final analysis and I solicit
</div>
<div>
your input to help mold policy decisions. If you cannot get to
</div>
<div>
conventions or hamfests, my office phone number is listed below and in
</div>
<div>
QST or you can send me email traffic and I will respond or schedule a
</div>
<div>
time to call you if you like.
</div>
<div>
<br>
</div>
<div>
Until then, 73 and I’ll see you on the radio.
</div>
