Here is a list of some Longwave broadcasting stations that can be received
in the UK.
Frequency KHz Station Country Language
153 Deutschlandfunk Germany German
162 France Inter France French
177 DS Kulture Germany German
183 Europe 1 France French
198 Radio 4LW UK English
216 Radio Monte Carlo Monaco French
225 Radio 1 Poland Polish
234 RTL Luxembourg French
243 D.R. Radio 1 Denmark Danish
252 Atlantic 252 Eire English
270 Czech Radio Chzech Rep. Czech
There are many other stations in Europe but these are reliable. I have had
reports of 198 KHz being received in The North West Territories and
Argentina. So there's hope yet.
Is the Gwen LF network still up and running? Has anyone received it over
this side of the Atlantic? It might be another indication of good
propogation conditions.
