I have been unable to hit the AMRAD web pages? Is the server down? Did we renew our DOMAIN NAME?
On lighter note, after the BOD meeting, Dave Borden, Hal, and I carpooled down to the Dulles LF beacon. It is on VA route 620 just northwest of exit 53 (I-66/VA 28). We took a few pictures.
The system appears to be in poor shape (we did not carry an LF receiver and could not hear the harmonic on an AM car radio). Co-located is a 75MHz ILS installation.
I will scan in the some pictures. The beacon is not where the coordinates indicate, off perhaps a few thousand feet. WGS84 to Clarke geodatum problems? I do not know.
I will take an LF receiver down there again to verify this beacon is operational.
