Hi,

The latest digital broadcasting technology seems to have a hole that
pirates can use to switch user's radios over to their pirate station .

"Illegal radio operators in the UK are
              forcing their broadcasts into
              motorists' cars.

              The pirate broadcasters have
discovered how to hijack the Radio
Data System (RDS) standard. This is
used across Europe and South Africa
and is now being adopted in
              Australia, China and the US."

Found on Slashdot with a link to BBC for more detail check out
<http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/sci/tech/newsid_592000/592972.stm>.

This new technology is opening hitherto unknown opportunities to disrupt
and hijack (or is that hihack?) peoples technology toys.

Ummm, by the way, on the LF list we are planning a trip to Nags Head this
month to try out our latest LF goodies.
