You do not want to disable the cookies, as some servers get nervous if you do.
Instead,
a) use a text editor and cut out all the stuff in your cookies files,
b) write a short phrase to that file ("I love chocolate" is a good possibility)
c) save it
d) now, change the attribute (ATTRIB) of the cookies file to make it a "read
only" file.
e) Then the cookies, which remain in RAM until the end of the session, have
nowhere to go when you turn off your computer :-)
