Gang,

Mike Marcus, N3JMM, will be our guest speaker Thursday, September 12 at
7:30 PM at the Dolley Madison Branch Library. His topic will be software
defined radio.

August 8, 7:30 PM, Dolley Madison Branch Library, McLean, VA: Our guest
speaker will be Mike Toia, K3MT. Mike will talk about his many antenna
experiments and will present details on his portable HF antenna system.

October 10, 7:30 PM, Dolley Madison Branch Library, McLean, VA: Our guest
speaker will be Charles Rhodes, a consultant in television broadcast
technology. Charlie will discuss his research on diversity reception of
8VSB digital broadcast signals to produce improved signal-to-noise and a
flatter spectrum under
strong multipath conditions. He is an IEEE and SMPTE Fellow and his career
includes work at Tektronix, Scientific-Atlanta, Philips Laboratories and
the Advanced Television Technology Center. 

So, we have a good lineup of speakers for the next three meetings. Please
attend and bring some guests.
