that was the basis for some observation by a BPO (British Post Office) employee from 1932 through 1935, that eventually encouraged the British to develop the first VHF radar. Under the leadership of Wtson-Watt, they forged ahead and designed the first high power radar transmitter on 10 meter wavelength, using giant tubes (valves) of 60 kW in 1936. (40 kV on the plate, 20 amps @120 v AC for the filaments).
