  Shooting in the Merrifield Area



  On Wednesday, May 24 around 7:15 p.m., a group of people were standing in the 2700 block of Hollywood Road. A car drove up near them and the passenger of the car shot once into the group. An 18-year-old Falls Church-area man was shot in the upper body and was transported to the Inova Fairfax Hospital, where he was treated for non life-threatening injuries. This case is still under investigation.
