Horsey Talkie

We had some discussions today at tacos about the SCR-300 "horsey talkie"
which was build for use by US Cavalry mounted solders.  Once the
contract was let, the Army decided to deactivate the cavalry so when
these radios were delivered, there were no users.  A good writeup is at

Sandy pointed out that someone has one of these and brings it to Dayton
Hamvention each year to check into the 75 meter AM net out on the flea
market on Friday.
