Comcast CEO Shows Off 150 Megabits Per Second Download

COMCAST demonstrated the latest DOCSIS 3.0 system in Las Vegas at 150 
megabits per second.

We should be seeing faster cable broadband in the next several years as 
Cable System Laboratories has an impressive track record getting specs 
to the manufacturers and hardware out to the cable industry.

This is another raising of the bar for the BPL systems.  If BPL tries to 
meet these rates they may find the interference issue much harder than 
today.

Will the BPL technology run out of steam and lose those investors 
seeking that broadband pot of gold at the end of the powerline?

Did Motorola see this coming and decided to drop their work on BPL?
