"...flooding of Biblical proportions in Australia..."


That is an interesting news quote. In the UK, we have had news  
reports of flooding in Australia "of an area equal to France and  
Germany put together". What they actually meant, apparently, was  
"flooding of rivers over an area equal to France and Germany put  
together" - not exactly the same thing. I'm sorry, when I think  
"Biblical", I'm thinking more "entire Earth's surface".
