Mobile DTV on the cheap

interesting...
about the only TV i ever watch has 2 characteristics
(1) it's been laundered through the Tivo
(2) it's never on a channel available OTA
email is the best analogy for TV. Just as my primary
metric for an email program is how fast i can throw out
the crap i don't care about, the Tivo serves the same
purpose for TV - it filters out the crap i don't care about.
the only time i watch something live or originated by an
OTA-available station is when there's some genuine need
for real-time information - like a WX event or some
significant international news story. (these are quite rare)
BBCAmerica is cable-only for almost all intents and purposes
as is TheWeatherChannel (for "Storm Chasers" - a trip back home)
i guess i'm an outlier
