AMRAD meeting talk- in?

If it is an AMRAD meeting, stay on the AMRAD repeater.
That way everyone is at the same watering hole.
When you shift to HT range, switch to SIMPLEX on the OUTPUT
frequency 147.21 and keep communicating.
That way there is no danger of loss of contact by searching other freqs and trying to remember other plans..

Karl,
The repeater output is: 147.210+, input is .600 khz up+
I am in McLean, so it's a great signal here, however,
suggest if you want to try either 146.790 in Fairfax or 146.910 (Tysons)
Since .210 is the AMRAD club repeater, it is problematic to get into it, with an HT, from Fairfax City Library.... a mobile, with gain antenna, would work better.
Since libraries are cutting back their hours, how about meeting at the Tysons Pimmit library?
Do they have a meeting room?

Bill,
The meeting announcement says talk-in is 147.81. If that is W4CIA then that is what I will program into my HT. There doesn’t seem to be any mention of the repeater on the website. You have to use Google to get to a page with no inbound link. Time to do some housekeeping because the link to T-Marc (see About AMRAD) goes to a Chinese telegraph company! At first the relevance was obscure but the Bing translation makes it perfectly clear:
“If you send words of blessing to a wedding ceremony, okiden poppo. From KDDI telegram service is safe and stylish service. Click here to please. Congratulatory words send a wedding gift! Available for this service to the departure of the great is how do I?
In this case put out a congratulatory telegram?
It may also end up suffering as position would not Wehn basically gotten greetings to send congratulatory "what?" and send greetings to whether the.
Because of the age of email telegraphed their congratulations inspirational
Greeting people recently is also less. From it's age of email. But why said celebration, fashioned a congratulatory message how to live.”

The Advent of the Cell Phone has in many instances overidden the carrying of an HT ... at least no one had one last night. When you have one, which repeater do you use (duh! W4CIA or Fairfax Machine). If we use the Fairfax Library again I will make sure I bring and HT.

Bill,
Would it have helped if I had brought my HT with me? It is embarrassing to ask if anyone was monitoring the repeater. It is time I put a 2m rig in the car.
Oakton is a good location. We have to figure some way to game the system or knock out those Girl Scouts.
