Another light winks out

Mike Padlipsky could be utterly infuriating, but usually because he
caught you being intellectually sloppy and he delighted in nailing you for it.
He had a habit of clarifying people's thinking, whether they wanted it
clarified or not. But he was also great fun with a subversive sense of humor.

as it says, he will be missed.
