the price is just silly.  the Rigol 50-MHz scope
with 2 channels, 1 gigasample/sec, and 1 million
point memory is available from multiple sources
at about $350.  True, it's not "mixed signal"
but if you add less than the price of an iPad,
you can get an up-range model that is mixed
signal and 100MHz analog bandwidth.

and if you haven't seen the new Agilent 2000 and 3000
series scopes, they are simply re-defining the "low end"
oscilloscope. It will be very interesting to see how Tek
responds.
